My little one just started Kindergarten this year and i find that she is catching virus a little to easily. What are you guys doing to build your little ones immune system? Advice need.

When I was younger I was sickly child and my Yamma would always give me codliver oil pills (Fish Oil) and that would keep me from getting sick. It also kept my skin and hair nice. My Yamma also used to makes us take a laxative   when  we were younger ( To clean out the bad stuff). She would also give us a cup of serasi tea (Not the correct spelling will get that for you) It's bitter as all heck but it works to cleane the blood they say.

What I do to boost my son's immune system is to give him an echinacea tinture for children. I give it to him 2-3 times a day in water or juice. It's done wonders for colds and skin fungus he caught from nursery. Thery're usually gone within a week

I have a book 'The Top 100 Immunity Boosters' and it lists the following as immunity boosters.

* Foods rich in vitamin A, B complex, C and E
* Foods high in minerals including zinc, selenium and calcium
* Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, found in nuts, seeds and oily fish
* Protein found in lean meat, fish and pulses
* Fibre, found in grains, pulses fruit and vegetables
* Spending time with friends
* A positive outlook on life
* Regular exercise
* Adequate sleep
* Daylight
* Yoga and meditation

also, for the most part your child getting sick could be a good thing. I mean they are building the needed antibodies to continue to fight off the sickness again when it comes back

i try to give her daily vitamins (when i remember) and also orange juice with calcium & vit D in it, a good balanced meal which always includes a vegetable!
