Man, I gotta cut the sugar but the sugar treats my tongue and cravings sooooo right!
Anyway, for my personal L-ascorbic acid toners, I use distilled water, l-ascorbic powder, and glycerin if I want it to be more like a serum. I'll omit it if I want it to be more like a toner. Here is a great article that gives you recipes for different concentrations.
Start out at 5%, go up by five more every two weeks, and go NO HIGHER THAN 20%! Vitamin C oxidizes very quickly so make a new batch every week. It will change color when it has spoiled. Spoiled vitamin C is actually terrible for you!
My whole daily regimen consists of cleanser, my vitamin c toner, my hadalabo moisturizing "lotion" (Japan has a different idea on what lotion is. Its more like a hydrating toner), and then Cetaphil moisturizing cream.
Also once a week I'll use Aztec Indian Healing Clay.
I would also do chemical peels but I'm not so sure about that since I'm now putting acid on my face every day.
