Depending on your skintone, grey can look a lot like black. My first tattoo is black with grey accents and honestly...you can't see a massive difference between the black and gray. But also it could be because of my skintone, and it's on my back. So, there's no huge difference...

oh im pretty dark.. the reason i dont want black ink is because i dont think it'll show much on my skintone. i love how some tats look on more fair tones, it stands out.

Well I also know that lighter colors don't necessarily show on darker skin tones either. Hence my interest in orange or yellow on my finger. :)
But also lighter colors will need to be touched up as time goes by. Blacks and dark blues are usually the only ones that can go the longest without a retouch.

Historically, men decided what women did with their body/life based on their values. And these values have changed a lot overtime and women have attempted to conform. So Patty is right.

lol
and what cultures are we referring to here?
mind you, body art in the west, has never being fully acceptable and remains stereotyped.
in cultures where body art is accepted, and where body art originates from, it remains a choice and attached to cultural significance/coming of age etc etc than an imposition of what women should or shouldnt do with their bodies
besides, patty has said that before in previous threads where 'men historically did not tell women what to do with their bodies' its her go to line when she just disagrees with something that has a penis
lol spare me

I don't understand what's so hard to understand by my statement. At least in the US men have generally dictated society and women in society. Is this not true n your opinion?
