We don't see many, if any, blacks doing anything related to computers and internet such as social media websites, creating apps (I remember there was a thread this year about some black woman who created an app though), and anything else related to those things.

You only see whites and Asians. Blacks can be very good with computers too, but most good black parents are into sports, music or writing, so their kids get into that. Parents need to start letting their kids see and learn beyond what interests them.

Yasss by the time theyre old enough they'll have perfected coding. Im just learning java now. Its a whole dang language it's crazy.

This is so important! I love things like this. I'm planning a day at my school where Black kids come in and learn about engineering/STEM. One of the things I will have them doing is making a android app. I feel like even an exposure to these things will at least increase the interest. I wish I was interested in Coding at an early age, I barely even knew about it.

This is great!. I was gonna be an IT professional when i was in high school (me and all my girls actually) did really great at CAPE Year 1 (Caribbean A'levels) and we then found Programming (and that was JAVAEmbarrassed) in CAPE year 2 and said , nope nope nopeeeeeeeeeeeeCry
