I voted never say never simply because I have only been natural for about 3 years now.  I think of relaxing but doubt I would because the transitioning took too long!  That would be the one reason that I would probably have to consider it long and hard!!!   I do love my texture and my curls. I just don't know for sure if I would NEVER relax again.

nope.

with my 4c hair, relaxing it didn't make any difference due to reversion.

it would revert w/in a hour of styling... i relaxed, but still had to use a flat iron on top of that get a straight style - or match my weaves, even the coarse texture weaves. heat styling had to be done basically every day because i work out and sweat, or lived in highly humid areas at the time.

and you know what happened next..Ouch

I actually dont see myself relaxing anytime soon. i feel like i get the "actual best of both worlds" by being a straight haired natural.

No way, the relaxer caused my once long and thick hair to look limp and lifeless Ouch.
When I want straight hair I just put on a u-part wig or a lace wig as a protective style. I'm currentlt trying to keep my use of the flat iron to a minumum.
