Texturizer, relaxer all of that - NO! It made my childhood horrible and just thinking of going back makes me upset, I love curls,curls curls, Curls I do adore! LOL

I chose never say never because if my natural hair gets thick enough and there is no way for me to manage it, I would relax it. For me, my relaxed hair is thick. I want to stay natural forever, but like I said, if it gets too much for me, I'll welcome the chemicals back. LOL

I'm currently long-term transitioning & will NEVER,EVER relax/texlax my hair EVER again.

Reasons why:

* tired of 24/7 straight hair (very boring)
* tired of risking getting burns/scabs
* my hair isn't coarse/thick enough for a relaxer
* tired of getting constant touch-ups (so annoying)

I'm also currently long-term transitioning. I also will NEVER, EVER relax/texlax my hair again. I refuse to continue to take care of something i'll never naturally have.

Just like sweetcoils&curls said, the risks of getting burns & scabs just isn't worth it to me no more. Plus i personally don't like nor have the desire for straight/relaxed hair anymore either.

Nope!!! I've done more with my natural hair than I could ever do with my relaxed hair.

I voted "never say never" because even though I don't see myself doing it anymore, there's always the potential.

IMO when I self relax the results are never consistent, and I don't feel like dealing with that as opposed to being natural, I know what my hair is going to do.

About the ONLY thing I miss about being relaxed is that when I do wear my hair straight, I always have to be concerned about it reverting. :-/ But I don't straighten my hair very often.

I voted "Never say never". When I was relaxing my hair a few years before joining BHM I was using this stuff called New Era 2000 that was a heat activated gel relaxer and it was actually awesome. It didn't burn, there wasn't an awful smell and best of all I could dye my hair. Their reconstructor was pretty good too. Of course that product was discontinued so I wound up going natural again. So if that stuff makes comeback, there's a slight chance that might start relaxing again.LOL

I voted no.  I love my natural texture.
