Meh it's simple. Every worker should be entitled to the same amount of time off, whatever the reason. I'm not saying parents should get less, but that everyone should get the same.

If you don't agree with equal treatment, cool. I do.

My company is so free with leave it doesn't make a difference to me.

One guy was one a 3.5 month leave bc of some stomach thing and some lady left 3.5 months to deal with her miscarriage.

It doesn't matter to me.
But I think parents are different than childless ppl.

I got my own childless set of perks..

I don't like all this negative talk towards women who bring life into the world. Once upon a time that was considered a beautiful thing. Nowadays people use children and pregnancy as a weapon/punishment against women.

It SERIOUSLY has ME thinking twice about ever having children.

You think that if you do right, live your life right, have a career then have kids things will be okay. To think one incident in your life can have you so people are looking at you like "you shouldntve had kids then" is really disheartening. People fall on their faces all of the time, it's twice as hurtful to fall on your face when you have kids. No one wants that rubbed in their faces.

That's why I hate seeing women struggle with kids. Yes, you can get gov. assistance, but it's like there is this stigma and people really aren't on your side. It's just sad.

Yeah I don't like it's either curls.

Bearing and rearing children should be looked at completely different than laying out at a resort

I would stop working if daycare cost half of salary

And that's why in a lot of places in the US no one gets anything but a few measly sick days. That's why pregnant women can get temporary disability, because the state recognized that yes there is recovery time associated with pregnancy and it absolutely needs to be provided, even if companies won't do it themselves.

I just think worker policies suck. No human should be working day in and day out without a break for themselves or their family. Sick time, vacation, PTO and everything should be there for everyone, not just parents. That's what makes it unfair to me.

I dislike the term breeder, I feel like it's rude or derogatory.

But anyway, I don't think it would benefit the childfree, the child, or the parent. I think giving birth is a circumstance that requires leave.

It is, that was my sarcasm , i am a parent.

Are there jobs that have maternity leave but not sick days and vacation days?
Cause....I don't understand the argument here.
