i wondered if there were any programs that provided free child care for parents when they go to job interviews and i found a provider with a network in Scottsdale specifically designed for it...i bet she didn't know about it...how do you find out that stuff like this exists?  and i wonder if they pull that "we're full" shyt when people actually try to utilize it.  kinda curious to know how many kids they're willing to accept per day.

If my mother was jailed everytime she did something questionable because we NEEDED to get over a very steep hump then I'd have missed out on a wonderful mother. We're human, not nuts and bolts, and while it wasn't an ideal for day to day life, she made a decision based on the severity of her circumstance.

I feel like I can relate, though I've never been in her exact shoes.
I feel like I can put myself in a circumstance where I made some poor choices and suffered the consequences, and had to do something daring with risk to get out because everyone around me got on a high horse and acted like they've never before made poor choices, like me.

I disagree. I don't think she should do any time and I hope she gets her kids back. -shrugs

w/a waitressing job? she'd need her kids away from her for a substantive period of time.

I don't know of any here. Most people spend almost half there income on child care.

Which is why generally the way it works is that once you have safe housing (which can be a shelter) and have completed the classes they want you to complete (parenting, drug/alcohol, etc) they'll give your kids back.

If they had to wait until people were really back on their feet kids would never go home.

Yet another reason to not have kids until you get your life together.

I don't know what kind of mother she is but I see she is trying to change her family's situation and that's good enough for me.

You do, but clearly most people don't.

I can't wait til I have some extra money. I'm gonna pay for a huge advertising campaign on billboards, buses, bus stops, and buildings.

Spread the knowledge.
