Someone is selling an older lexus and gosh it looks NICE. Has anyone ever bought a used luxury car that has ran fine?

(I'm buying it for someone, but I worry she wouldn't be able to afford the upkeep.....)

how many miles?  if something goes wrong the cost of parts will make it not worth it.

the parts will be pricey especially if foreign. Insurance may also be a bit higher because of that.

you can take a lexus to a toyota repair shop since most of the parts are interchangeable i believe.

no

drove an older lexus for two weeks and gas was like $80 to $100 each week

maintenance is more too

I guess you can go cheap for the oil change but it would still be a bit more than a non luxury car

make sure you know a mechanic that will give you a good deal

tires cost more too

Only if it has a warranty though I'd rather by a cheaper newer car than an older luxury car.

I don't know about Lexus, but if theyre anything like BMWs hellllll naw.

My friend has had about 7 BMWs that were 6-10 yrs old and she puts more into repairs than buying the car

Which lexus?
The ES is a camry and maintenance and gas is cheap. I bought one 10 years old, 1 owner, for 5k. I drove it for 5 years with no problems.
