yea.  that's common even for married folk.  it's a new baby. mom's tend to be hawklike and very protective. or maybe she's not comfortable spending that much time away from the baby.

If the baby the breasted then I understand.
If the baby is very young like you said then that baby would not allowed on the trip.
What grandma lets a very young child on a trip?

why would dad wanna take his 6 mo old who is breastfeeding on vaca without the mom?  what type of shyt is that?  and i might (no i know i would)  feel a certain kind of way about him leaving me alone with a 6 mo old.  yeah...i'm not feeling that...
