But is she close with the grandmother?! Because it sounds like the grandmother was the one making the decision. I think she needs to get out her feelings. Maybe she's not close to the grandmother. Or maybe the grandmother is asking them to take the trip to read the contents of her will - in which case it's for sure not the gf's business. She should stop jumping to conclusions!

I asked her that...bc she said she's close to his parents maybe grannie is paying... she wouldn't expect them to pay her way the bf actually called grandma to ask grannie how the gf should write the check out and it was then he learned that she wasnt invited. so it seems like he's like hey fams going on vacay, come with, she's all like cool, and then grandma gave the stiff arm

Old people just act like that sometimes. Seriously. I doubt the granny even thought this deep into it. She was probably like, I'm old, I want a drama free vacation, 4 years is like 4 hours to me, stay at home please. They don't care who they offend. She should b upset, but I feel she's being self centered at this point. It's not about her and her relationship. It's about what granny wants.
