So, I'm watching MSNBC and they're having a panel discussion on Chris Christie's(Repub gov of NJ) future in politics and whether he could be on the ticket for 2016. The discussion progressed to...would it help his chances if he lost 150 lbs..."when you're leader of the free world, the expectation is that you're reasonably healthy and able to fulfill your term"...
As a blk fem panelist pointed out, if it's not weight it would be something else(religion, race, gender, etc) but it's a valid concern.
Just based on history, it's been noted that with the advent of television, politicians have gotten more attractive(relatively speaking).
So, do you think America is ready to elect an obese politician as President? Would you elect an obese person as president?
