A friend of mine has her Bachelors and works in a successful immigration law office.
It took her 6 years to graduate because she needed to pay the last years of school (private) herself. She was working a lot, and because of that had stress induced illness creep up, put her behind.

The first two years her parents (remarried to others) helped. Her mom was better off than her father so she had a bigger hand in the help.

The mother remarried and her husband has been a leech from the get go. Could never keep a job, always had excuses etc...

Her mom stopped helping her pay after 2 yrs in school b/c her husband objected to the cost.Thing is... not long after that, the husband started going to school. He said he was going so he could get a better paying job. Refer back to underlined

Sooo the husband is going to school on my friends-mom's dime, while my friend struggles. After 50gs worth of student loans the husband doesn't even graduate by choice. He gets his loans forgiven and is now officially a house husband...

My friend just found out about his loan forgiveness and is livid. The past cant be changed but she feels like confronting both her mom and her husband about the fact that she was struggling while he worked the system

Should she speak her mind or forever hold her peace?

Well at this point I think your friend should express how she feels to her mother ........to get the resentment off her chest...then let it go no matter how her mother replies.

At the end of the day if you are an "adult" (18 +) you can't "expect" anyone (even your parents) to "give/lend" you money......Its not right but that's the way it is.

Mom 'shoulda done been' apologized for being d*ckamatized. Helping her daughter halfway through school only to stop and help her hubby to enter college and who then ended up not even using his degree because he didn't finish? Smh.Dead
