Pica ninny is derived from Portuguese.
Original word piquenique meant people who dinned and brought their own wine.
I can't remember the spelling of the Portuguese word but it's something like pequeno meaning little or small.
Children were called pickaninnys.
I think it means little ni gg ers with a Gullah/creole twang
