Is there anyway to downgrade to a different version of Windows? I bought a new laptop for my new job and I didn't realize until after I got it that it came with Windows 8. My job, however, requires that I have either Windows 7 or Windows Vista. I am not tech savvy at all when it comes to stuff like that and I was confused as heck by the article I pulled up on google about downgrading.

Maybe the requirements are just outdated now since Windows 8 is so new. Ask them.

Windows 8 definitely has the capability to run whatever you needed to run on 7 or Vista.

its possible... certain in house platforms/ programs may not be compatible with that OS. you have to go through a sh*t load of testing before hand & that OS just came out.. i  do product support & ppl are pissed often because they go out & get that newness only to find out its not compatible.
