will I encourage them? yes

will I force them? no

I don't recall my parents telling me I had to go to college

I figured that if most of my family is living comfortably and the majority went to college, I should also go to college

plus I loved school and learning at an early age so I wanted to go to college, I looked forward to it

I plan on home schooling my kids for as long as they allow me lol

They can have the choice of going. If they want to go that badly, they can go. But I will not paint this picture and have them believe that a college education is essential for success and growth/development because I'd be lying to them. There's too many "educated" and unemployed fools out here with degrees.

Yes, but I would encourage them to be a part of the S.T.E.M category (science, technology, engineering, mathematics/medicine) and attend a community college. I will also teach them about money management and budgeting/preparing for college.

I wish someone sat down and talked to me about the real cost of attending college and if it's really worth it. I got lucky to get a job within my field of study.

And I wish some people would stop looking down on community colleges. I would have saved thousands had I attended one, and received the same type of education.

But I still love my HBCU.

For me and my bro it is/was just kinda expected. Not Forced per say, just the only option. I never thought about anything else.
