I know many ladies here (like myself) have tried their hand at making a wig with sewing wefts to a cap, but I have not seen anyone making a wig on an open wefted cap (like most cheap wigs are made) vs. some sort of closed cap structure.

I mean, this sort of cap:

Has anyone tried making a wig on a cap like this?  If you have, I'd like to know how it worked out.
Thanks!

This cap is different, the cap in the OP is the kind of cap they use for BSS wigs.

I didnt look at that last pic, oops .Ouch My bad. I have seen those on Aliexpress but you had to buy more than one if Im not mistaken. It would only be worth it ordering from them if they offered free shipping.

Oh I totally agree that price is RIDICULOUS... I've seen the Ali vendors, but most want a minimum order of 25 pcs or something Dead .. I have a U-part wig cap with mesh in the back that I am thinking I could convert myself into a wig cap like what I want; All I need to do is purchase 1.99 stretch lace hemming tape.

But!!  My question is NOT wear to get the cap, but has anyone MADE a wig with one like this?  I'm wondering what difficulties I might run into.

Knowing me, I'll probably just go ahead and try it anyway!

My thought btw is this:

when I make a wig, I HATE it when the cap structure shows sometimes if you tilt the wig 'just so'.   But if I cover the cap with a ton of hair to avoid that, the wig becomes HOOGE.  Confused  I figured, if I sewed hair that's the color of my natural hair on an open wefted cap, and if I am not wearing a wig cap, then there would be no cap base to see; only.. more hair in the same color as the track hair.  That'd be less detectable, I think.

See  I have (and wear) red hair, not black, so for wig making I am kind of at a disadvantage to most of you ladies - they don't make auburn Japanese swim caps or weaving caps LOL
