I'm listening to "9 Little Milimeta Boys" on repeat by 8ball & MJG while responding to this topic. Don't relate at aaaall. But I like the flow and beat. Hip Hop just has that feeling. Even the "ratchet" stuff. It's all about feeling.

I'd say the percentage of listeners that take it to heart is much lower than the people who simply nod their head and move on.

I don't know how any person can listen to most of the music nowadays, I just rather hear the instrumental instead of the person voice. This is why I listen to other genres compared to rap.

I go in on trap music but know nuffin about that trap life...
