Yes there is. If not a African person, then a half-African is living there (Most likely Nigerian). I bet you all of the change at the bottom of the purse on that.

If they are saying AA hair, I would imagine they are not thinking about other Black people with kinky hair outside of the US.
I just say Black hair or kinky hair because people generally know what that means.

^^^Yep. It is as simple as that. No hidden agenda...no secret underlying connotations.

and yes, unfortunately, i met a black person who lived in Bulgaria. more than 20 years ago, he told me that many of the white bulgarians openly called black bulgarians "monkeys".. why am i not surprised..must have picked up that from the U.S.

Yep. I don't doubt this at all. Naija people are everywhere
My dad actually went to Bulgaria in the 80's back when it was still a Communist country.

My cousin is in Russia. Its the only place that was granting visas without effort. Nigerians are everywhere. I have a friend that goes to china every 6 months he was telling me how Nigerians have a small community there, almost like Lagos. He said those Nigerians will never leave even if they wanted to. They have learn the language and business is booming over there.

That being said, I was quite salty when I heard Naomi Campbell being referred to as African American... I mean the chick is British...., you can't be referring to allllllllll Black people as African American...
|
That still doesn't make any sense. If a hair article for white people is written in the US do we say White-American Hair? It doesn't matter where it's written... the term doesn't make sense being applied to hair.

Why dont they just say kinky hair? |
Kinky hair just means hair with kinks. Straight hair can be kinky too. |
Definition number 2 of kinky: (of hair) closely or tightly curled.
