Why are black movies so bad these days?

Movies today suck all-around, not just black films. Most films these days are assembly line products anyway. I think movie studios have more so something to do with what is shown in theaters than the lack of individuals trying to create a good and / or unique script. The studios have an idea of what has worked in the past and still use that format when they decide to support a certain films or idea.

Not true. Puncture was a fascinating film.

When is the last time you saw a good film by a black director or at least written by a black screenwriter.

No wonder mytripd to the movies are years apart. At one time, I didn't go for like 7 years.
