Because black people have no pride in themselves or in their work any more.
Instead of using influence and money to uplift blacks, they use it to capitalize on baffoonery, exploiting stereotypes and cashing in.

Budget Cuts mentality- even when money aint an issue we do sh!t on the cheap! ETA: And fluff it up with the free sh!t like coonin', jokes, and typical Boonshiqua type Bull sh!t or typical mama I wanna sing, dance and smoke crack type endings.

Exactly Qualified and you know what burns me up the most. It's white folk that tell our stories and write great scripts and execute good cinematic vision. Then they win the awards for it. It's a f*cking shame.

Hmm interesting. What a lot of people don't know is that even if you make a fukking excellent film (and this goes for a lot of indie filmmakers, it's not just a black issue per se), if no-one wants to distribute it, no-one will see it. I remember hearing about this guy who made an awesome film while he was still at university (can't remember his name or the film, just that he was black  ) but it literally sat in a cupboard for over 20 years before someone saw it and drew attention to it.
Good distribution is one of the key ingredients that makes a film successful. That's why you can go to the cinema and see a film like "The Avengers" in London or Paris or LA or Tokyo.
Nowadays, more and more (black) indie filmmakers are using the internet as an avenue to distribute their films/tv shows (like ABG). I read an article on clutch about this new all-black sci-fi called "The Abandon." I haven't got round to watching it but I will soon.
