what is your personal definition of a stupid person? Is stupidity the same as ignorance? A subcategory? What qualifications do you have to determine what stupid is or does? Would anyone you know consider you stupid? How does common sense/ knowledge/ intellect (or lack thereof) play a role in stupidity?
Discuss.

they have been tested and it is determined they are well.....
Is stupidity the same as ignorance?
no
A subcategory?
no, stupid is incapable of gaining knowledge. once stupid you will always be stupid, forever. a person can overcome ignorance.
What qualifications do you have to determine what stupid is or does?
let me make list later on and post it
Would anyone you know consider you stupid?
not really
How does common sense/ knowledge/ intellect (or lack thereof) play a role in stupidity?
many are ignorant because they lack life experience and/or common sense
many are stupid because they lack intellect and will never do better
Discuss.

In my eyes it's more like the inability to absorb knowledge, someone without rationale or sense.
I don't think anyone would consider me stupid unless they were stupid themselves.
When I think of ignorance, I think of someone who doesn't know but can and will know once "it" is explained to them. When I think of someone who is stupid, they will deny facts because they can't understand.
I don't trust tests to decide whether someone is "stupid" or not, such as IQ tests, but they sure are fun.

Ignorance is the capability to learn/do better, but actively refusing to. Stupidity is limited/no ability to learn/do better.
Common sense is a form of intelligence.

Someone who constantly tries to go by their own understanding and feelings despite how many facts and truth you bring to them. Ignorance leads to stupidity, depending on how much sh!t one chooses to ignore.

I don't know what stupid is. But I know what foolish is. Maybe they are the same thing, but a foolish person relies on his own understanding and creates his own wisdom to explain a world he came and met, and tells it what it is.
