I've been on a downward spiral lately and I can't stop the slipping despite all my best efforts. This is taking a toll on my self-esteem. I've taken numerous steps to help myself that still don't seem to bear fruit. Anyone feel or has felt this way and what did you do about it?

Right now, it's job related but all the other factors apply. I sense that I'm about to be laid off. YET AGAIN. And I'm sick of it. I try so hard to maintain a proper career in my field but it seems like wherever I go, I'm not accepted. Got this job a few months ago and was doing relatively fine but now some things that have been said to me/cues are leading me to believe that my past at my previous job is tainting their opinion of me (I had a really bitchy boss before and I believe that she knows my current boss, from some of the remarks she's been throwing at me lately. Plus I have a manipulator on my team and a racist manager from another departement giving me problems and I've been there done that before. It seems like I always lose to these people, no matter how unfair the situation and I'm just TIRED.

That is all I think of without more details but keep going. Don't stop and it is ok to cry, be angry and feel sorry for yourself but don't get stuck. Cry, wipe those tears and keep GOING.

I know I have issues. But I'm in therapy for my anxiety and personal issues, I try to deliver impeccable work (which manages to get criticized regardless), I started working out and being proactive in my health. I was hoping that 2013 would be the turn around year for me, except that it's gearing up to be the same old same old. And I'M REALLY TIRED. I've been feeling a full-fledged depression coming on in the past few days. I'm too old for this shyt

That's the stance I,ve been trying to adopt but in my heart of hearts, I guess it's not sinking in because it's not working. My sleep is disturbed, I'm wringing my hands and a host of other things. I can't be lighthearted about it despite my best efforts. I feel like I've been going in circles for the last several years
