Yeah the wedding planning threw me for a loop as we were literally in the process of getting the invitations designed when we realized there were issues with the venue we had booked. Thank God for refundable deposits!!! It's all good though because now I'm getting married where I really wanted to all along. :) St. Patty's was fun, minus the snow & frigid temps! We did a bar crawl through the village. But I didn't drink that much this year. I've been drinking since Thursday so I didn't need to "go in" yesterday.

Get over yourself. So damn eager to demand that folks properly write a language that their ancestors were banded from learning to read and write. So stuck up the white man's ass that you don't see how our slang has connections to our roots. Please stop youngster. BHM can't ever be mature. You are right. I don't want it with you or her. I haven't the time or the energy.
Me using Mz in a screen name and someone who doesn't even know when they spell something wrong are two totally different things.

LoL really? Being banned from learning to read and write 200 years ago is a reason to choose not to read and write today? So now illiteracy is a hallmark of blackness? Learning to read and write is cracka shyt? I mean really BHM? Really?

I think samoneisthebest is saying that looking down on the language referenced in the op is taking on white people characteristics. Assuming that one is unintelligent because at that moment they aren't speaking the "accepted" language is some white colonizer type sh*t. Historically, languages like creole, are broken languages. Is it fair that we call that a language, but American ebonics is soooooo terrible? One can speak Ebonics and "standard" English without being illiterate. To judge so harshly against ones culture (slaves pronounced things certain ways because of their native tongues and alot of Ebonics structure stems from their interpretation of English through their language) because whites don't consider it a language makes some people angry. Blacks traditionally wait for white people to decide its ok before we say its ok. In this case, Ebonics is not a language (even though it exhibits all the traits of a language) until whites say it is. Hope that helped.
To b honest, most of us fluently switch between both with no problem. Think about it.
