Yes, deh saltfish too big.  Deh dish looks like it needed to cook a little longer.  As yuh kno, ackee can be poisonous if not cooked properly.

My kitchen LOL.  Coco, it depends on the city/state.  There's a lot of authentic Jamaican restaurants in the U.S.

If you cook I feel like you can make this yourself I really feel like its not one you can really mess up... but the I am sure fresh ackee taste better..or what about Jamaican restaurants in LA or I looked on Yelp and this one looks alright-"Front Page Jamaican Grille".. The Jerk chicken looks good! I want!

Not only that..but if u know what u like...meanin...some of these restaraunts use more saltfish than ackee. And when these do this u can taste the saltfish more. Some use a lot of oil to drown the ackee....so at the end f the day its better to cook your own.
ackee
This is a good brand of ackee..as well as well as DOUBLE DICE(the can has 2 dices on it)
As for the saltfish...u go by preference. U can can get the cod that is straight from Canada ..that is high in salt and bone ....or u can use
which is not too salty. Even though u would have to boil it before combining it with the callaloo.
The only time  will get fresh ackee is if u know someone coming from Jamaica to bring it from u. Otherwise its in a can.
