Topic: What's a good moisturizer? Posted: Feb 14 2013 at 6:25pm |
I've been wearing a caesar cut for a long, long time, but I was just
curious what's a good moisturizer? I've looked at the 101 Thread, some
of them have 'cones and protein. The only thing I have been doing is
oiling it and doing daily water rinses. I was using Scurl, but I get
tiny bumps when I use it. I'm not into making my own mixes. They always
fail. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Style Milk. Other people swear by the curl enhancing smoothie, but the Milk works best for my hair.
I also use Reve Essentials moisturizer in the birthday cake scent.

I use Nunaat combing cream and then spray some olive oil and water. Works for me...

Now I use aloe vera/water/jojoba oil mix for liquid and then a very light oil, then ORS Olive Oil or Elasta QP Mango Butter Creme. I have 4 day moisturized and soft hair. Idk if they have cones, the ORS has mineral oil somewhere down the ingredients. It works very well for me. I stopped using natural/organic only products a while ago and it was a good decision for me.

I can't say I have a daily moisturiser but when I didn't care for my hair I liked ors carrot oil, dark and lovely oil moisture plus they yellow one and pink one. Wasn't crazy over the elasta qp , made a great body moisturiser though. Now it's just water/oil mix, some oils and shea butter. Good luck finding something :)

I find that my hair does not stay moisturized with just using common moisturizers. I have to use the LOC method for my hair to stay moisturized throughout the day. And my hair likes products with glycerin, especially after my hair has been wet. A word of caution on the Shea Moisture products though (OP), if your hair doesn't like/take too well to protein they may not be the best for your hair. I used them for a while (and I thought they were working, too) but my hair didnt like the pink line for daily usage. It's best for refreshing a style (for me).

oh, if your hair liked the s curl (which I think has glycerin) why don't you just look for a similar product?

Thanks ladies for the suggestions. :) The SM has protein even though
it's a little bit. I was looking at Elasta QP mango and olive and that
has protein. I'm going to try the LOC method with the water or glycerin,
oil, and butter and see how that does.
