The go to protective style will probably be whichever buns I can think of.
Probably accompanied by hats and beanies, not just to match my scarves or outfits but also to keep my hair presentable on those not so pleasant winter days.
I might give some headscarves a try, leaving out some hair, depending on my outfit.

I keep my hair in 6 braids covered with silk cap topped with a beret + smidgen of hair out as side swooped bang.

So so easy.  Hoping to start home care which would allow me to continue this style throughout the winter.  My only upcoming exception is jury selection which starts Monday Dead

also considering doing a stint with twist extensions, but havent really decided if i will or not.

I keep my hair braided. Wear Wigs when out and about, try to baggy as much as possible when at home.

Baggying is covering your moisturized hair with a plastic cap. Yes, you can baggy in braids.

I baggy my buns or do a full baggy whenever I can get away with it.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the BHM community and I needed some feedback! I knew this was the place to come.
I want to get box braids (NO MORE SEW-INS)! But I dyed my hair a honey blonde a week before Thanksgiving. I plan to dye my hair a temporary jet black for the braids because I miss black hair lol; but I need to know, how long do box braids last? I haven't had braids since I was like... 5 so idk how long they last vs sew-ins.

Happy holidays!
