o/t but ur the second person that has mentioned that smaller braids cause breakage/thinning/etc.... so would bigger braids work better? if so, wouldnt the install be bulky? anyone else have this issue?

braids that are too small could lead to thinning and breakage because there is more stress on fewer strands of hair.  it also depends on the person's hair texture and elasticity and overall hair health.

i think braids should be about the size of a #2 pencil.

well imo i think that if your wearing a wig the advantage is that you can take it off, just get your hair flat underneath, meaning ponytail or braids or how ever but you dont need to make them small as if you were getting a sewin unless you want to keep the braids up a while. but you get in closer and give the braids extra special attention. but with the sewins its hard to get in close and im natural and i take great care of my hair so it is still hard to deal with drying and moisturizing. so i want the advantage of seein my hair when i want and thats not in 2 to 3 mos then hope and pray i still have some hair after the take down. and you do just naturally get shedding so that will result in thinning especially when the hair gets longer imo

I'm using the mesh swim caps, I saw IslandBeauty from youtube using them so I ordered them as well. And they are really good. I'm waiting on another order of them as we speakBig%20smile!

I notice my hair/scalp feels different when I get a beehive/circle. i prefer my braids to go all back. Hmmm so it sounds like Ill be asking my stylists to braid my braids just a wee bit bigger. Ok back to your regularly scheduled topic...
