I ordered my first "virgin" hair purchase earlier this week. I'm awaiting the hair any day now. Do you ladies have any suggestions on what to do when the hair is first received. As for co-washing or do you jus do a full out wash. & What type of products do you use on your hair. As far as shampoo & conditioner or whatever else you may use.

Full on wash...some may agree while others may not. As for products, it is hard since i use a variety of products. Shampoo-i like shea moisture moisture retention shampoo-to clarify, I use herbal essence drama clean. For conditioner-again i use a variety of products- organix macadamia oil masque, one n only argan hydrating masque and shescenit conditioners which can be ordered online only. For the leave in-ag fast food or crecepelo-a Dominican hair product.

Please do a full on clean....I don't understand why some would not do a full clean. I clarify with a VO5 Shampoo I purchased from the grocery store. For Shampoo it depends on what I find when I ready to wash - Organix Coconut or Suave Almond + Shea butter or even Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition. For Conditioner that also depends what I find- Organix Coconut or Suave Almond + Shea Butter or HE Hello Hydration. I also do a deep conditioner with a conditioner pack from the BSS, if I don't have a pack to use I'll just use the conditioner I have and microwave the hair for 30-45 secs and let it sit...HTH ...Alot of women rave about the Dove products so you might want to check those out as well.

Do you ladies have any serums that you like to use on a daily basis w/ the hair. Like something to keep it moisturized. I've always used argan oil but idk if that will be to oily or not.

I use aphogee shine serum on mine but only a tiny bit. It goes a long way.

I like Organix serum. I also have been trying Nunaats Brazilian Line and it's pretty decent. It's smoothes the hair and gives it a natural shine.
