Hi all.

I am trying to get a head start to taking down my twists...I started last night and will continue later this evening and into Saturday. I noticed that they get very tangled...I dont want to damage my own hair...very frustrating.  ~~~HELP!~~~

Here is what I am doing to take them down:

1. snip the very end of the twist

2. spray the scalp & braid with Talia Waajid leave in cond. spray on scalp &braids

3. use the tip of the comb to unraval the twist & move upward; (this is when the tangling begings)

4. Con't to untangle to the scalp and carefully undo the braid (theres were braided 1st then twisted) and remove the hair

5. remove the debris/left over product/remaining strands of hair

So, am I doing this right?  Is there a better way to remove these?  Is the tangling due to the type of hair that was used?

I am gonna be up all night removing these!!!

it takes me between an hour and an hour & a half to take down.

i start by snipping the curled ends & then i unravel the twist.
when i get to the plaited part, i either use my fingers to work the plait out or i use a rat tail comb or ink pen lol

doin this doesn't tear my hair or anything, and the only time i really had tangles was when i left my braids in for about 2 months.

i found that washing, conditioning, and deep conditioning my hair without straightening it (leaving it in a fro) then spraying leave in conditioner while i have the braids REALLLY makes it easier and my hair feels stronger and healthier after i take them out as opposed to feeling dry and brittle Wink
