My S/O could hate my hair all he wants to, but he will have to learn to live with it, or find someone with the type of hair he loves.

I am not changing it !!!

I think for men, the most harsh transition is from long to short.....not necessarily the natural aspect.

I'm natural and my hair was tail bone length. I was proud of that sh*t too. Then I bleached the hell of it and just cut it. I still either wear it in a bun or straightened but the transition of me having short hair now is what is taking some time for him to get used to.

I think a lot of black men just flat out don't like short hair.

When I see women with LONG natural hair, I generally see men liking it. As long as she can rock her look and pull it off men seem to be straight with it.

My stylist when I was relaxed always had long hair (relaxed). She was pretty and plump and dark skinned. She said men fell in love with her hair and idolized it and she would have to tell them "Don't fall in love with this hair. It's not a part of me."

its all about the length for  lot of men. if i have on my dominhair inspired fluffy 24" kinky straight wig, no makeup and nothing special on,  dudes be dying to get at me. let me put that wig on when im dolled up. folks husbands and boyfriends get mad inappropriate when i walk past.

If she had short hair that was straightened, a short cut like Halle or Nia Long he wouldn't mind it. Texture is definitely a big factor imo.

I saw this at the nail salon a few weeks ago.  I will say I am very blessed that my dh isn't like that but my natural hair has never been really really short so maybe that's it but I don't think he'd care even if it were. He likes my hair uncovered.  It's the opposite for him...he detest weaves, wigs, 1/2 wigs, braids, etc.  That can get really annoying though.
