For the mommies that bottle fed or supplemented with a bottle....what formula did your baby use?

My baby will be a month old this weekend and we quickly learned that the Similac Advanced didn't do well with her system.

We switched to Similac Isomil Soy and that constipated her. Then her pediatrician put her on Similac Sensitive and that has been really good for her.

After switching formulas so much..I really wish I would've breastfed instead.

Similac Advanced...she loves it!!!  $6 a pop and she goes thru one in a full day almost...We tried the breast, and I guess it was more my fault than hers, that it didn't work.  Oh well...we live and we learn...she's good now...

Have you tried Enfamil?
I supplemented for Jordan when he was in the hospital with jaundice with Enfamil Soy in the blue can and it worked well for him. It's easier to digest than the regular Enfamil.

Do you still have Milk coming in?
If so and you have the extra money I would suggest that you invest in an electric pump, or rent one for the next month and pump everyday everytime she has a bottle to get your milk supply up then watch lots of breastfeedig videos so you can see what it looks like when the baby is properly latched on. After she is like half way done with her bottle try and put her on the breast.

I personally don't think its too late to get her on the breast if you are still producing milk.

I am breastfeeding and supplementing with Similac Neosure because my baby is a premie and needs the extra calories to help with his weight gain.
I want to change the formula because it's causing him to have reflux (spitting up through his mouth and nose....Very ScaryUnhappy)

my baby had the same problem....I put her on Similac Alimentum. It cost more but it's worth it. I didn't have any problem after that.

I did Alimentum and Nutragmigen with my first because he had colic so bad. Alot of African American infants cannot digest the sugars in milk, and have to turn to expensive formulas. So, I would check into soy formulas before the regular ones.  Sometimes, breastfeeding doesn't work out. I breast fed him for 2 months and it was horrible because he could get what he needed. Anyway, keeping the baby close to you when feeding and showing them love is a good substitute because breast isn't best if your baby isn't flourishing.
