Do y'all tremble and shake every time y'all get in a car?
Those are way more dangerous.

i'll tell you what. when passengers tell us that they are afraid of flying, we usually do our best to look out for them. we'll talk to you, crack jokes, comp alcohol...whatever it takes to keep you calm. i actually enjoy comforting scared flyers. kinda makes the job worthwhile

I need you as my FACry

I'm not scared of flying ( I actually like it, and a splash of mild turbulence is somewhat fun to me) but I HATE takeoff. That is the worst feeling for me. I always end up freaking out during takeoff and grabbing onto my neighbor. Thank God everyone I've done that to has been really sweet and let me hold their hand and console me. After that, I'm good! I like landing too, just as long as there aren't any deep "drops."

Statistically, yes you're more likely to get into a car accident than you are a plane crash, but if people are afraid of being 10,000+ miles above land (which seems perfectly reasonable), then let them.

i love some of my gay boy flight attendants! that story was hilariousLOL

cc, i will offer a free drink to someone who tells me upfront that they're afraid to fly (mostly as a last resort). don't ask for a free drink though. that won't flyLOL

the turboprop planes can be scary because sometimes they fly belowe 10,000 feet and you bumping over all through clouds. my airline use to fly them from miami to the carribean. thank god they're gone now! (they are safe though)

peacefulone, that's funny. omg, i hate being stuck in the middle seat between two linebacker sized passengers. sometimes i don't have a choice when flying standby but as a paying pax, alway, always, always either change your seat on the website or the airline's kiosk before you board! jonny depp is one of my favorites too btw.

sang, i love to drive. but skittles is right, driving is statistically more dangerous than flying.

danib, take off is my least favorite part of flying too tbh. of course i have to play it cool when the pax are in my face while i'm in the jumpseat.

What's the point of the boarding zones? With the exception of first class, people w/ children, old, and disabled people, I don't understand the point of it. I could be in zone 6, but sit in the middle row or be in zone 1 and have to fight with people to get to my seat.

It would make more sense if they loaded everyone in the plane from the back to the front, but that never happens.

Just something I don't get.
