ya know, I think its just another one of those user preference things.....and everyone's hair reacts differently to different products I think.

Some people have NO luck with LG, and it holds like cement in my hair! For some people the oil removers work great on certain adhesives, for me the acetone is the only thing I have found that works well (the others work but just take too darned long to break down the glue) Big smile

it looks like amber colored rubber cement. it is very messy and a pain to remove. i use acetone on some clients, but it has a tendecy to dry white....  Ok... so one day i used LG and mad a stocking cap weave.... i usually  use a shower cap under the stocking cap and remove it when i am done moldingit to my head... well one day i figured i used a showercap and paper towels so that my cap doesnt stick to the insid eof the cap..... WRONG IDEA!!!!! the glue was seeping(sp?) throughoutt the paper towel and some how got stuck to my head when i was tyring to take it (the showercap)off.  i pulled some of my hair and had showercap stuck to the inside of the stocking cap...i was not about to waste my hair i bought and i picked the cap pieces spec by spec....  i use it from time to time , but i do not advise on one's natural hair....... by the way has anyone else had a problem with mess???? my fingers looked like the cryptkeepers grandmother when i was done!

I used LG for several years for weft bonding. It has (in my hair) a great strong bond that lasts about 6/7 weeks easily. It is very messy to work with, which is a total PAIN. But if you put the LG in a syringe (a medical syringe, without the needle) its much easier to use. It does have a tendency to look 'yellowish' in dark hair, which wasnt a problem for my blonde hair. Very easy removal with acetone once the bonds have begun to break down. I have a more difficult time removing LG if the bond is fresh or hasnt started to breakdown.
Since I started using the pro-tac tape I'll never do LG weft bonding again. The pro-tacs are so much easier...and NO MESS!!! Big smile

Don't you worry about protac pulling your hair out or the hair extension falling out?

Pro-tac is by far one of the easiest adhesive's to remove, that I've used. I use acetone (the dreaded word) and they slide right outwithin a matter of seconds. As for falling out, heck no...they are very secure. I'll never use any other method on myself again. It s just so easy...I can do a full install of 8 oz of hair in an hour. And a takedown is 20 minutes top.
