DUNNO with the new FB layout to poke u have to use the drop down thingie so thats kinda hard to do by accident!

If you're in the message section, sometimes a list of people with a "poke" button next to their names appear in the upper right corner.

I don't use FB, but I thought people poked you in order to start a conversation? Like, after they'd poke you, you'd respond with something and then start talking?
