Sometimes, it's rather relaxing to me to take a break from my phone, Twitter, Facebook, etc.  You focus on other things and it seems like you feel less stressed.

For the past week or two, I've shut my texts off.  Meaning, I set my iPhone up to where I don't get any text notifications--I turned off the text tone, the number on the messages app, the banner that runs across the top of the screen, took it out of my notification center, and took it off of my lock screen.  EVERYTHING.

So now, I don't know I have a text until I randomly remember to check my texts at the end of the day or something.  And I find it to be calming.  I'm not as dependent on my phone and my mind has been a little more quiet.  I like it!

So, what do you guys do when you need to "take a break" from social aspects?

I'm not a part of any of those social sites and my phone was never stressful to begin with

I just stop logging in to FB or whatever social site.

Being a parent-I can't disregard calls or texts unless my child is with me

I always say that I'm going to take a break from social media to get myself together and to get a piece of mind.  But, I usually wind up cutting the phone off for a few hours and then turning it back on. Stern Smile
I guess I'm a slave to technology.  I think during my break from school I'm going to cut my phone off.  I'm already stressing over school-related issues and that's the last thing I want to do on my break.
