i "guess" i could see how that could be the case in a same sex relationship.
i've just NEVER seen a case where a man has completely surrendered all "man" perks in a hetero relationship...my own mine or anyone else's that i have observed for that matter.
maybe it is a generational thing...shrugs... |
What are manly perks TC? lol
with my first X... I would do all the driving.. shyt was annoying..lol She wasn't a bad driver.. she just expected me to drive cause I was the MAN..
I mean.. I hated driving too.. like.. we didn't take a test that stipulated that I was the better driver in the relationship so why the hell was I driving us around like Ms Daisy all the time?
I never argued that one ... I just got over it. haha |

TC, is it driving in CHI or driving in general? I could see how you'd hate city driving. But even on road trips, you don't like to drive? |
i hate it "more" in the city. but even when i was in school (lil ole rural type town) i still hated it. i daydream often about calling someone to bring the car around for me... |
well I did used to have hub do this when we worked together but that was because I parked in an underground garage 3 blocks away. He'd bring it up and pull up in front of the bldg and I'd hop in and go. Once I started parking downstairs in the building, I was able to manage it myself

thanks. I don't have many issues now with it. That was years ago when I was still 'going hard.' eta: it does take YEARS to repair damage tho; if it's reparable at all.

As a heterosexual male.. I aim to do this with a woman. |
I more than agree in a homosexual relationship. I have this problem and women want to know who I like more...men or women...masculine or fem women..etc.
It sucks. I don't like those that like to identify. You are just who you are. I don't do that whole fem/stud crap. I don't like it. It just seems contrived. I wouldn't want a role.
But...when it comes to a hetero relationship, it gets more complicated. I don't ever want to be with a feminine man, even if he isn't self identifying. I have no problems with masculine men. There is a part of me that wants to feel protected. I don't want to feel like I would have to physically protect a man. & I would like to feel like a man can physically protect me. Plus, because things happen, he'd have to prove that he can be a provider.
None of this would matter in a lesbian relationship though, other than the fact that she better be able and willing to provide for herself/children.
Just one of my double standards.

I can see this..
my first X was like 5'1" so she was tiny.. I almost felt like I couldn't leave her by herself. lol I got mad at her at IKEA once and just left her in the cafe sitting area .... But I was secretly watching her cause I was thinking " F*ck she might get Taken or some shyt.. I cant have that on my conscience!" So I walked back over to her and said.. lets go home... I was still mad though.
So we eventually broke up and I started Lusting being highly interested in Amazonian women.. like 5'8" and above who exude toughness only because it would ease my fear... plus we could build Hoop kids (whole nother topic)
I still have a soft spot in my heart for tough girls.. but the height part isn't that important

#2 is bullsh*t. I take pictures of all my food and drinks. Deal with it. I wish someone would complain to me about taking pictures of my food. I'll take a picture of my middle finger and send it to them. #9 Usually on dates I don't pay, but if I offer to pay, I'm going to pay. I'm not going to pretend to dig in my purse and sh*t. I don't have time to play those games.
