The 2013 NBA playoffs are well underway. And for you Bombshells who like to cheer on your favorite teams in style, today’s What to Wear post is for you.
Reader Madeline writes, “Hey ladies- Me and my baby daddy are hitting up the Knicks game this week and I am STRESSING about what to wear! I’ve never been to a game before but my man is a big Knicks fan and I wanna look fly! Can you please help me?! I love your blog and would love your suggestions! Thank you!!”
No need to stress Madeline. As I know many fashionistas hit the arenas dressed to the nines, for your first game, I wanted to create a look that was a mix between “basketball wife” and “basketball fan” including a number of casually stylish yet chic options. And since your “baby daddy” is a big Knicks fan, I made sure to include a few pops of the Knicks’ team colors to aid in your team spirit.
For look #1, I went for casual sophistication with a Zara double breasted cotton blazer, a pair of white Mango super slim jeans, and a Mango Jaguar graphic t-shirt.
Keep things stylish and on trend with a pair of Zara black lace-up sandals, an Emilio Pucci burgundy and gold shoulder handbag, a pair of Asos Luxury Spike Gem drop earrings, and a gold Forever 21 square cutout cuff. Add a bronze eyeshadow option and an vibrant orange lip to complete the look.
For your second look, create a sporty chic ensemble with black and white Topshop sporty stripe front joggers, a Boohoo Avery NYC printed slub jersey tank, and a pair of blue Zara combination high heel sandals.
Accessorize with an ultra chic Henri Bendel No. 7 quilt envelope clutch, a Baublebar double silver chain collar necklace, and a pair of Kurt Geiger London Rihan earrings. Finally, add a touch of color to the look through your makeup palette with a vivid red lip and golden lid.
For your third wardrobe option, I mixed this blue racer-back maxi dress with a denim vest, and Zara metallic plate flat sandals.
Get creative with your accessories by adding in statement pieces like this Marc by Marc Jacobs White Birch/Blue Gingham printed handbag, a Max & Chloe Yochi Rhinestone and Orange Stone flat chain bib necklace, and a pair of orange and gold diamond shaped earrings.
Last but not least, for look #4, I went for a casual yet polished look with a pair of destroyed boyfriend jeans, a gray Cheap Monday asymmetric top, uplifted by a stylish pair of black Rick Owen wedges.
Add a few much needed accessories to this otherwise neutral look with a dove white Saint Laurent Y leather clutch, a pair of Kate Spade New York square stud earrings, and a Baublebar ice drape necklace. And lastly, give your pout a once over with a trendy orange lipstick option and a dazzling mani.
And that will do it! Which option has inspired you to look your most fabulous while cheering on the Knicks?
