I’m still going strong with the Fall
Wedding What to Wear requests and today’s style inspiration is for a
curvy fashionista looking to amp up her look for an upcoming ceremony.
KeeKee writes, “Hey FBD! I need your help
Danielle please! I’m attending my Father-in-law’s wedding in late
October 2013. It’s at 2pm in the afternoon with the reception following
shortly thereafter. My husband is a groomsman in the wedding so you know
I have to represent. I’m a (size 16) plus-size honey ;-) And I need
some ideas on what to wear. Thank you and I hope you can help.
When choosing a dress for a Fall wedding, try autumnal shades and
jewel tones mixed with metallics as an alternative to a neutral color
palette. Or go all out with a bold print to give your look that extra
wow-factor. For all three of your wardrobe options, I chose
waist-defining silhouettes with rouching or wrapped details that will
pull your waist in and help accentuate your curves.
For look #1, liven up a v-neck drape dress with a stylish Winter Floral print coat, a sassy pair of Gucci sandals in a gunmetal hue, and a soft gold evening clutch.
Pull the look together with a draped gem trove necklace and smoky tear drop earrings for a chic and polished wedding day ensemble.
For look #2, opt for an abstract floral print wrap front dress with a black satin blazer and a jewel embellished high heel.
Add in a pair of oversized crystal earrings and a metallic crackle clutch for that extra touch of glam.
And for your final wardrobe option, I chose a red cowl neck dress with a draped back detail uplifted by a pair of black Brian Atwood sandals. Jeweled accents and a bronze box clutch dress up this form-fitting frock.
As the finishing touch, apply a deep berry shade to your lips and a sparkly neutral eyeshadow palette to your lids.
And that will do it. Which look will you pull as your wedding day option?
