I don't like contacts that make them look like an extra from the "Thriller" video

I think when it comes to the battle of the fake...it's more so about what looks more believable than the "fakeness" itself.
Someone who has the best sew-in, and it may be hard to even tell that hair is not coming from their scalp (i.e., chose the right texture, good stylist, great braid pattern, decent length)...whereas with contacts it's almost always identifiable. With the real eye bring more translucent, colored contacts are much more opaque around the iris than a normal eye color would appear.
And 9 times out of 10, the black women I've seen with contacts looked 100 times better when they finally wore their normal eye (that's not always the case when a woman takes off her weave). Makeupd0ll on Youtube for example is gorgeous when she's not rocking her hazel green contacts.
But if were comparing a bad weave to colored contacts, then yes, that's spot on.

I know shebast, she was so upset that she had to miss 3 days of school because of stupid people.
She says from now on she's just gone lay down and hope the security guard gets the person off her in time before she is hurt because she doesn't liek the label attached to suspension by her band teachers, social group, etc.
I told her if she did so , then she would be in a second fight with me. We now ask her to go to an adminstrater at the start of a potential bully problem. That way is is already documented. Also, she is suppose to do all she can to avoid a physical confrontation again. She has a lot to loose, these thug girls have nothing to loose, and will probaly be drop outs by the time they hit 9th grade anyways,. | did you have to say that. I know that is TYPICALLY what happens but we shouldn't assume. I know some NOT MANY "thug kids" from school that have degrees and good jobs now. |
Yes she did. These girls are harassing her child, she is being a Momma bear and I don't blame her. Greent- can you tell me more about the demographics in the schools your daughter attends. Is it diverse at all? I am just trying to prepare myself for whatever I am going to have to go through in the future.

The only color you just shoudlnt do is purple. Ive worn hazel honey and grey, I think you have to be careful and pick something that doesn't contrast with your skin and features......I will not elaborate so don't ask.

I dont think it really makes a difference just like it doesnt make a difference if you are wearing a weave or LF, however, you'd be a lot more convincing with a color thats complimentary to your skin tone.

Well it's been said already but the only color that could work is maybe a dark brown/dark green mix. Maybe.

Although some colors just don't look right on some people, I'm kind of tired of hearing what black women should/shouldn't do.
