Wow the op makes me sad because you remind me of me as a teenager. We are about the same height and weight. But now that im in my 20's I've learned to embrace my size. Being tall and slim isn't a bad thing. Many girls would love to have "our problem"
I understand how you could feel pressure to gain weight since being slim in the black community isn't a popular thing. Especially if you live in the south. Luckily I live in NYC , (plus i dress well and am attractive ) so people always assume i'm a model. Women always compliment me on my size, especially white girls and gay guys lol. I've never had problems attracting men of all races, but predominately black men. Which goes to show you that their are men who like slim women. Don't let the media(music videos and magazines) make you believe otherwise.

I'm still in my teens are I am veryyyyy slim. I'm sure I weigh less than 100 lbs right now. The only time I've been over 100 was when I was pregnant, and I didn't get super big I weigh around 130.
I wish I had boobs and an a$$ :( but thats not the way my body was made. My mom and grandma say I have more of a body than them when they were my age and after they had children.
I just am learning everyday to accept my body.
Even though I'm so skinny I was able to breastfeed my daughter for a whole year, and still going so that's all that really matters to me.
I'm a 32 C I wish I was bigger but that's so much more than I was before, I hope they don't shrink when my daughter stops.
I could even wear a size 0 pants while she was in my stomach smh
If I wanted to gain weight I'd target 15 more lbs at the most 60 lbs sounds like way too much weight.

Yeah, i was super thin. I had no curves at all. My hips, butt, and legs filled out in my late 20s. i was a late bloomer. From my HS, most of the teenage girls that were curvy and "thick" are now overweight. I now look at it as a blessing in disquise.

I'm wondering. Should I just accept my size? Because I actually like being tall and slim, I feel like a model however the things people on those thread affected me badly and things people say in general about us thin girls. Having no hips and a small ass never bothered me until recently. |
Yes accept your size and embrace it. I can understand wanting to gain 20 pounds. At 5'10 and 140 lbs youd be average size. But if you gain 60 lbs, youd be 5'10 and 180 lbs. Which would make you tall and big/thick like Khloe Kardashian or Jordin Sparks before she lost weight.
If you learn how to dress for your body type you can disguise the fact that you have no hips. Wear peplum skirts: And wear dresses that flare out at the hips

i have always been slim and when i was younger i hated it and was really insecure with my body (im tall and was at 119 lbs)
im older now and i've gained roughly 40lbs
i have super high metabolism so i make sure to eat at least six meals a day (small meals) and drink protein drinks (boost, ensure high protein) and the reason for this is because i have to consume larger quantities of food to maintain my weight which is 160 (im 5'10.5)
i work out, i weight lift mostly for toning and try to avoid heavy cardio, i like to walk vs bicycle and all that

And yes you should embrace being tall and slim, my mother always told me that i would grow to appreciate my body, and i do
BUT i like to have curves and definition, to me its ultra feminine so that is how i choose to train my body

It's annoying being tall and trying to gain weight because if I was short I could gain 30 pounds and go from skinny to curvy. I have to gain double that :/ I've formed a meal plan. I've slacked a little been busy with school and other things. My appetite is poor I'm rarely hungry. I thought I could accept my body now but I guess I can't I know I will regret not gaining before so I will just have a go. Olive oil is an easy way to get lots of calories so I should be fine.
