Well what ever youre doing i hope you're doing it safely. Maybe aim for a healthy muscle to fat gain ratio? Did you discuss your goals with your health care provider?

how old are you?
idk about gaining 60lbs in about 8months...that sounds extremely unhealthy.
personally, i was very small as a teenager and when I graduated, I was about 98lbs. when i went to college, i began to fill out and gained about 20lbs over 4 years naturally
if you're looking to gain weight, I would suggest putting on some muscle, but don't try to pack on the pounds so quick like that.

Unless you're malnourished, 60lbs is a lot. Consult a doctor before you start doing crazy things to gain weight.
To answer your OP, no, I was never slim as a teen. Hell, I was never slim ever. I was only kind of pudgy by the time I got to high school, and that turned into lean muscle with cross country and tennis.
