I don't know how much an American wedding will cost...mine is expectedly expensive. Right now we're teetering at nearly $300K, but that's for a two-day ceremony in the US, a four day ceremony in Egypt, and another two-day ceremony in Sierra Leone. Wearing me out!

We spent $20k. My wedding was a small intimate wedding with 100 guests at a very nice reception hall (ceremony and reception at the same place) and it included top liquor drinks. No cash bar here....
