Well it seems that as long as Miley is a Christian she is free to prance her ass around the earth with impunity. The rest of us have a spaceship or other transportation waiting for us to GTFO.
Interesting...shall we look at the statistics of those mean, old atheists vs god-fearing folks?
- As a whole atheists occupy less of the prison population than believers
- Secular countries have lower crime rates and higher standards of living
- Secular countries tend to have lower poverty
- Secular countries tend to be better educated
Shall I go on? And they want the people who are not causing the problems to leave? The only rubble rousing we seem to cause is asking questions. Why is religion--especially Christianity--off limits but everything else is okay?
The thing is, we shouldn't be making this huge effort to be stifling the voices of the secular. What we need to do, as I have said before, is work together to figure out how these things are possible in the secular community.
Also, at the end of the day, if you are an Abrahamic-god believing individual and the evidence is overwhelmingly against your god...or any god, that shouldn't deter you from believing. Religion doesn't require evidence. It requires faith.
Religion affects everyone whether they believe it or not. Non-believers will take an interest in these stories for many reasons...maybe they just like the bible as a work of fiction and they want to know how that work was put together. If our analysis is harming you, MAYBE you shouldn't be concerned with our findings. Rather, you should be concerned with how easily your faith wavered.
