My hair never takes in the moisturizer or the sealant properly without a touch of water cold/warm. The products literally just sit on my hair.

I do want to try just plain AVJ. But like the only AVJ I see even at 'health food' stores like whole foods or trader joes I am certain they have sugar in them, some even have pulp...I am starting to wonder if people mean Aloe vera gel when they say juice since I know the gel can be watery and thin like 'juice' also ^^
What type of AVJ do you buy? And from where? |
you can buy an aloe vera plant
Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice from whole foods or most health food stores
Or get Fruit of the Earth from Trader Joes

I think folks really mean Aloe vera gel. I have the Lily of the Desert brand in myi fridge and it says "Aloe vera gel" on the bottle, not juice.

I mean juice
I realized that about the labeling... pure aloe vera gel, straight from the plant isnt really a "gel" They are chunks of aloe that turn into liquid..
The Lily of the Desert gel version has a thickening agent in it...
an actual gel is the Fruit of the Earth Brand because carbomers and gelling agents have been added, so it's not pure aloe vera...

she wears her hair straight so that's why it works for her anything with water would revert her hair.

Also, she said she doesn't like how water based moisturusers sit on her hair I tried this, I used castor oil on wet hair after washin out my DC. It work pretty well but I think my hair likes creamy stuff, but gona switch to neautrogena triple moisture leave in cream

The only products I use in my hair, outside of conditioner when I wash/deep condition is water and olive oil. After I wash the deep conditioner out, I put olive oil on my scalp and hair, and air dry. My hair gets so soft and has a natural shine to it. It's the best idea I've ever had. I'll never go back to leave ins and all that. My hair's never been this moisturized before. And I don't mean oily. it stays moisturized and healthy. Never had that happen before.
