I didn't know this was a thing.  I usually wash my hands in the kitchen sink when I am getting ready to, during, and after cooking.  Now if I sneezed into my hands, I usually run to the sink.  I guess I am "untrained". *shrugs*

No one is saying NEVER wash your hands in the kitchen sink, for any reason, in any circumstance!!!!!

The OP is saying, your hands should be clean before coming into the kitchen ... of course before, while and after cooking you will continue washing your hands throughout but it's "food related" dirt

Not outside/public, bathroom, baby bums, pet, gardening, construction, painting etc type of dirt ... that should be taken care of in the bathroom or laundry room ... where you also bleach and clean the sinks, faucets, countertops, door handles etc

I didn't use it all day and didn't get a lunch at work. It was like the best of both worlds.

Yep.

I wonder if the same people are wiping down their cellphones and computer keyboards daily...

yes with clorox wipes!   cell phone, tablets, remotes, door handles, the purse (even though I dont rest it on the floor I use purse hooks)

I usually do this at the end of the day, unless I drop it or someone used it or some other reason, then I'll wipe them more often

I have a silicone protector over the keyboards on my laptops and my desktop keyboard at work ... they were like 13 cents at amazon

and whats even funny is if we really started to look at how people wash hands most would realise that their hands are probably still dirty if not dirtier as a result of poor hand washing technique

even with the use of alcorubs
