I do for handling ground beef for mixing meat loaf or making meat balls.  Hate all that stuff sticking to my hands.  I buy a box of gloves from sallys when they go on sale and trash them afterwards.

I wash my hands in the sink all the time.  And my hair many times (but I prefer the shower).  No biggie.

oh I agree. They are great for mixing food with your hands. Also when making bread mixes (biscuits).

Why did the thread continue after this?

That's all there is...there isn't any more.

When I had a Polish roommate, she gave me a stank face when I was about to wash my hair in the sink and said "Do you have to wash it in the kitchen sink?"  LOL

I gave her an eyeroll and said "why? do you eat out of the kitchen sink?" Ermm

That shut her up

I Do not wash my hands in the kitchen sink. I don't know it's just a mental thing for me. I only became quite particular about it the last couple of years...

I'm a vegetarian but when I have to handle meat when cooking for other people I wear gloves.

Also I don't wash my hair in the sink either. I prefer to use the shower.

Man, this thread had me thanking left and right lol.

But ummmmm...yeah...its not that serious. As long as you don't wash your dirty hands over food, who cares.

Now that poster who mentioned cleaning the dirty mop in the sink...THAT disgusted me lol.
