I just bought my first synthetic lf. Bree by Sensationnel. It just came in the mail and now I don't know what to do. Should I wash it before I wear it? Or will washing it cut it's life expectancy?

I tried to upload a picture but it didn't work. Ouch Here's a link to the wig I bought.

(I also posted this in the LF newbies section under "First SLF")

I wouldn't.  But I might spray the front with water if I wanted to manipulate the hair some.

Washing ANY wig shortens it's life a little, IMHO... best to put it off as long as possible!

I had to do this with my Bentley wig. I'm not sure if its cause I got her in a color but when she came she was dry as hell when I brushed the curls the hair frizzed and poofed and lost all definition. The curls were stiff and dry. So I put it on top of my manaquin head and washed in shower with conditioner only and let it sit in shower all night and drip dry. Now the hair is super soft and smells great and when I finger combed the cults hey turned into the tight waves/curls they were originally supposed to be.

I can see washing a Curly Wig to loosen the Curl pattern but Bree is a Straight Wig so there no need to Wash it Like Hennared said it shortens the life of the Wig and that you can just spray the water in the Front to Tame the Bang.

Thru trial and error for ME... I don't wash my wigs first.  To me, especially the syn cheaper wigs I'd say no miss.  The cheaper wigs to me... they  just don't bounce back after washing, they tend to look older faster.
