I don't care about her intent. Doesn't matter what she was trying to do.

But jones, her work isn't like some abstract picasso type painting where one observer might interpret a dove flying into the abyss from a bunch of muted colors.
her intent is clearly translated into her work imo.

HellurrAren't most of us in that boat? Why are we so ready to assume that Black people don't want other Blacks to educate the White masses about the real horrors of slavery? Why is that our default interpretation of each other's position? (I'm asking this generally btw) Doesn't make sense to me
