I had been all natural for about 2 years (maybe 3), really don't remember. It was fine, but I decided I wanted some length and to loosen the curl. It worked and hubby loves the wavy hair. I really don't like the look. I don't like the "in between" look and I want it straight. I guess I am an afro or straight hair type of lady. I think I was a 4a. I had a curl pattern for sure...it was a tight spring and 80% shrinkage. Looked shorter the longer it got.

My hair is healthy and not falling out. I used the Just for me softner and did not over process. When it was humid, you would never have known I did it. Curly girly appeared (but I had more length).

I want it straight. Can I put a relaxer on it a week after the Just for me? If so,  shouldn't the main ingredient of the relaxer be the same one as in Just for Me, Calcium hydroxide (no-lye relaxer)? Or can I use a lye relaxer...which I love because our water here has calcium and I will have to transition to a lye relaxer any way. (Yes, I should have thought of that BEFORE I put on the Just for me, but I forgot all about it being natural so long.

Thanks.

In just 2 hours, I am re-thinking putting a relaxer on. I never did my relaxers bone straight so why the hurry now? I haven't even tried to blow dry it or flat iron it now. Maybe I will like the flat iron result.

What I have now is healthier for my hair than more processing, right?

Part of me is tempted to braid it up (leaving the front and sides out) and do the weave thing. Then I can have what ever style I want without ruining my hair.

Do you find that with the texturizer, when you flat iron/blow dry your hair it stays straighter longer?
